The Vision and Mission

Vision: “Together As One”

Just as the children of Israel gathered together as one for the reading of the Law after the rebuilding of the walls by Nehemiah, being attentive to the words (Neh. 8:1-3), so are we, with the same spirit, gathering together with attentive ears to the Word of God. Together, we endeavor to let our light shine before men by doing good works (Matt. 5:16) and loving each other as Christ loves us (John 13:34-35).

Mission: “Equipping, Working, Edifying”

As God has given apostles, prophets, evangelists, and pastors and teachers to equip the saints that they may work, thus edify the Body of Christ (Eph. 4:11-12) , we at Build Ministries strive to accomplish the will of God in our lives. As we come together as one around the Word of God, we realize that the body is built up through our being equipped with the knowledge of the Word so that we may perform good works.

Our mission is accomplished through emphasis in these key areas:

Teaching: As all scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works (2 Tim. 3:16-17), the Bible is not merely used but taught in a clear and expository manner so as to help believers understand and put into action the Will of God revealed through consistent teaching.

Spiritual Gifts: Each believer has been given gifts from the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 12:11) that should be used to edify the Body of Christ (1 Cor. 12:7). As members come to discover their gifts, they are encouraged to use them freely and without hindrance so that God may grant increase from our collective planting and watering (1 Cor. 3:6).

Outreach: We are careful not to perform our acts of righteousness before men to be seen by them (Matt. 56:1). We are, however, compelled to help meet the needs of the least of the brethren by supporting organizations that exist to support people who are hurting or suffering hardships. We seek opportunities to feed, clothe, and visit (Matt. 25:34-40), thus having the love of Christ be an extension of ourselves as we love each other.
